Why this list exists
Saamman is for ordinary classified ads in Pakistan — mobiles, vehicles, bikes, property, electronics, jobs, and similar everyday listings. This page is the line we will not cross. It sits next to our Terms & Conditions. Breaking it can get the ad removed and the account closed.
The list is not every crime in the Pakistan Penal Code. If something is illegal under Pakistani law, it is banned here even if we forgot to name it.
Illegal and stolen goods
- Stolen phones, laptops, bikes, cars, or anything else you do not have the right to sell
- Items with a blocked or blacklisted IMEI
- Counterfeit branded goods sold as genuine
- Pirated software, cracked accounts, or stolen streaming logins
- Anything obtained by fraud
If you are selling a used phone, say so honestly. If you “found” it, it does not belong on Saamman.
Weapons and dangerous items
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, and parts that make a working weapon
- Replica guns that can be mistaken for real ones, and illegal knives where local law forbids them
- Pepper spray, stun devices, or other items sold as weapons
- Hazardous chemicals and materials that need a licence you do not have
Drugs and medicines
- Narcotics and anything covered by the Control of Narcotic Substances Act
- Prescription medicines sold without a proper licence
- Steroids, unlicensed “weight loss” drugs, and similar grey-market pills
- Drug paraphernalia advertised for illegal use
Fake papers and IDs
Do not list, offer, or ask for:
- Fake or real CNICs, passports, driving licences, or NADRA documents that are not yours
- Forged degrees, experience letters, or police character certificates
- Number plates, chassis numbers, or vehicle books that do not match the vehicle
- SIM cards registered in someone else’s name, or “ready SIMs”
- Bank accounts, JazzCash / Easypaisa IDs, or payment wallets set up for other people
Adult and harmful content
- Pornography, sexual services, and escort ads
- Content that sexualises anyone under 18 — that is a police matter, not a listing issue
- Hate speech, sectarian abuse, and material that glorifies terrorism
- Ads that harass a named person or publish their private photos
Offensive language in titles and descriptions will be removed. We already filter some of it automatically.
Scams and misleading ads
- Ads that exist only to collect deposits, “token” money, or courier fees
- Work-from-home schemes that ask you to pay before you earn
- Lottery, betting, and gambling offers
- Get-rich-quick crypto or forex “signals” sold as a sure thing
- Duplicate ads posted over and over to crowd out other sellers
- Photos stolen from another listing or a shop website
- A price that is a bait — “Rs 1” for a car that is not actually Rs 1
Animals and wildlife
- Protected wildlife and parts of protected animals
- Animals treated cruelly or sold in a way that breaks local rules
- Livestock or pets if the listing is clearly a front for something else (for example, a “puppy” ad used to pull deposits)
Restricted in Pakistan
Some things are tightly controlled here even when they are legal in other countries:
- Alcohol and related products
- Tobacco and vapes sold in a way that targets children, or in bulk without the licences the law requires
- Police, military, or NADRA uniforms and badges
- Radio or telecom gear that PTA does not allow the public to sell
- Human organs, blood sold as a product, or anything that treats a person as goods
Jobs, property, and vehicles are allowed — but the ad still has to be real. A fake plot in DHA or a job that asks for a “registration fee” will be taken down.
What happens if you post it
We remove the ad. Repeat or serious cases lose the account. If the listing looks like a crime — stolen goods, fake CNICs, drugs — we may pass details to the police or the FIA. That is not a threat for a badly written fridge ad. It is what the law expects when someone uses a website to sell something illegal.
